About this webinar

Have you ever wondered where to turn for help when you are faced with the challenges of providing high-quality education and care for children with special needs?  If you have ever sought practical answers, you may have experienced a frustrating void. Easter Seals to the rescue!

Providing responsive early childhood programs for children with a range of abilities is a daily challenge for administrators and teachers. Recognizing the need for clear guidance and practical strategies, Easter Seals developed The Operating Standards and a toolkit for ECE professionals in an effort to increase both the quality and quantity of inclusive childcare. Developed to augment NAEYC guidelines, the Operating Standards were formulated with the NAEYC academy. Easter Seals standards for high quality inclusive child care define the same degree of quality in inclusive settings that NAEYC outlines in accreditation standards.

This session will provide an overview of The Operating Standards, and will help you learn what must be in place to provide high quality inclusive experiences for children of all abilities, including:

  • Program Operations

  • Parent Communication

  • Teacher/Therapist Integration

  • Staff Training and Resources

All sessions are 1.5 hours long, and include a brief announcement from our sponsor. 2:oo PM – 3:30 PM Eastern Time.
