About this webinar

Workplace culture is shaped by how we communicate, respond to feedback, and navigate conflict. In early childhood education, where relationships are at the heart of everything we do, even small misunderstandings can create tension, erode trust, and leave colleagues feeling frustrated or unheard. And sometimes, the hardest part is recognizing our own role in the dynamic.

But what if understanding how our nervous systems respond to stress could help us navigate these challenges differently?

Join us for an insightful and practical session exploring how nervous system responses, sensory needs, and emotional regulation influence adult behavior and workplace relationships. We'll examine why difficult conversations can trigger strong reactions, how to recognize signs of dysregulation in ourselves and others, and what we can do to respond more intentionally rather than escalate tension.

Through relatable workplace scenarios and actionable strategies, you'll discover ways to navigate challenging conversations with colleagues, supervisors, and families, communicate more effectively under stress, and build stronger, more trusting relationships.

You'll leave with practical tools to manage your own emotional responses, approach difficult conversations with greater confidence, and contribute to a workplace culture where people feel safe to communicate openly, work through challenges, and grow together.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  1. Recognize how nervous system states, sensory needs, and emotional responses influence adult behavior during workplace stress, feedback, and conflict.

  2. Apply communication and conflict-resolution strategies to navigate difficult conversations with colleagues, supervisors, and families.

  3. Identify signs of personal dysregulation and select appropriate in-the-moment regulation strategies to support clearer communication and emotional safety in workplace interactions.
