Big questions loom about how to make technology work in child-centered, play-oriented classrooms. This session will dig into the questions.

In this webinar, Chip Donohue, the Director of The TEC Center at Erikson Institute will talk with Karen Nemeth, Ed.M., and Fran Simon, M.Ed, Co-Authors of Digital Decisions: Choosing the Right Technology Tools for Early Childhood Education. Together, Chip, Fran, and Karen will walk you through many of the signature guidelines presented in the new technology position statement by NAEYC and The Fred Rogers Center and that top questions that have emerged about developmentally appropriate technology use.  The webinar will focus on  actionable recommendations and practical ideas. You will learn more about:

• planning to integrate technology to support learning in your developmentally appropriate program

• evaluating digital products to ensure they align with constructivist approaches, as well as preschool standards

• integrating technology into learning centers in child-initiated programs.

• using technology meaningfully to enhance projects
