About this webinar

Future Leaders in Early Childhood Rock! So who are our future leaders in the field of Early Childhood Education? College and university students, ECE clubs and organizations, faculty sponsors and advisers have been building collaborative, cooperative relationships with the affiliates of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Just this past year over 100 colleges and universities were represented by students and faulty at the NAEYC Annual Conference & Expo The Student Interest Forum of NAEYC Facebook page is teeming with students/faculty and affiliate leaders from across the country. So how can early childhood programs, child care centers, Head Start programs, family child care programs and early childhood programs in public schools build community engagement projects and opportunities? In this webinar, Bill Strader, an experienced champion of student engagement in ECE, will explore a variety of topics and include students, faculty and affiliate leaders.

"Got Future Leaders in Early Childhood?" If you do, it's a great opportunity for your program and for the students. It's also a big responsibility for you as a supervisor. While the staff, children, and families in your program will benefit from the enthusiasm and fresh approach students bring, you also need to make the experience meaningful for your student workers and nurture their leadership potential.

Bill will help you learn more about how to:

  • find ECE students who are a good fit for your program

  • work with colleges and universities to develop internships and Co-Op jobs

  • work with Interns and Co-Op Students

  • make the experience meaningful for the students, as well as the teachers and children

All sessions are 1.5 hours long, and include a brief announcement from our sponsor. 2:oo PM – 3:30 PM Eastern Time.
