You will learn how to prepared your classroom environment, productive choice making, intentional presentations of materials, socially constructed learning experiences, and emergent curriculum. You will come away with new ways of working with children.

- identify current challenges in their own settings and learn how to remove barriers to high quality, differentiated experiences for young children through an approach that supports children’s self concept, self-regulation, independence, and inquiry-based learning.
- examine The Four Intentions: Compelling Materials, Explicit Presentation, Responsive Scaffolding, and Following Children’s Interests.
- reflect on the work of Dewey, Montessori, Vygotsky, and Malaguzzi.
- focus on developing Compelling Materials with interesting, everyday items, then learn how to analyze the materials to develop an Explicit Presentation for children that builds independence and differentiates instruction.
