Currently the Chief Engagement Officer of Engagement Strategies, LLC, her national marketing, social media, and publishing consulting firm, Fran Simon has been a professional Early Childhood educator and a passionate technologist since 1981.
After 15 years as a multi-site child care administrator, she moved on to be VP of Marketing and Technology Initiatives at Teaching Strategies and then to become Chief of Parent Engagement at the National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies. ,In every position, the confluence of early childhood, technology and media have always been at the heart of her work.
Through Engagement Strategies, Fran offers consulting services to companies and nonprofit organizations that sell products and services to the early childhood sector. In addition to providing strategic business development advice and plans to organizations, Fran often provides coaching. In 2010, Fran is the founder and producer of Early Childhood Investigations Webinars, a free webinar series for early childhood administrators that connects ECE professionals to experts and delivers lead generation services to companies. She also founded and produces Early Childhood Investigations Consultants Directory a free hub where organizations that need consulting expertise can find and hire hundreds of early childhood experts.
Fran is a Co-Author of Digital Decisions: Choosing the Right Technology for Early Childhood Education, and is a contributing author for Child Care information Exchange, Young Children, and Teaching Young Children. She frequently presents at national early childhood conferences, and offers online meeting and webinar services.
Fran has a BA in Early Childhood Education, and a M.Ed. in Early Childhood Curriculum and Instruction . She served as a Board Member and Vice President of the Technology and Young Children Interest Forum and the Early Childhood Authors and Consultants Interested Forum of NAEYC for several years.
