Promoting Executive Function Life Skills in Early Childhood- Resources and Tools from Mind in the Making, by Ellen Galinsky

Ellen Galinsky, author of the best-selling book Mind in the Making: The Seven Essential Life Skills Every Child Needs, will be sharing free tools that every educator can use for promoting executive function skills in children and the development principle of serve and return.

Research shows that executive function skills affect school readiness, school success, college graduation rates, work and life success; and Ellen's book proves that these skills can be taught and promoted at any age. To help educators and administrators continue to develop these skills in young children, Mind in the Making has teamed up with First Book to create a collection of popular children's book titles and written tip sheets to pair with them. These activities promote the practice of serve and return, which involves a back and forth conversation between you and children, and builds on and extends what children say and do to boost learning.

In this webinar, Ellen will be presenting these and other resources and tools created by Mind in the Making to bring the science of children's learning the general public, families and especially professionals who work with children.
