This session is sponsored by the McCormick Center for Early Childhood Leadership.
In this webinar, Judy Jablon will help you explore how you can use self-awareness and intentionality to enhance program quality.
As the primary leader in your program, how you are and what you say and do each day influences what happens in your program: how people relate to one another and their openness to continuous quality improvement. Your style of communication, your mood, and your attitude about interactions all contribute to the culture and climate of the program. When you foster positive relationships with your staff and they with each other, you can promote collegiality and a culture of rich professional development. In an environment of supportive professional relationships, teachers are more willing to work together to learn best practices and support children and their families. As Michael Fullen says, “The role of the leader is to ensure that the organization develops relationships that help produce the desired results” (Fullen 2001).
All sessions are 1.5 hours long, and include a brief announcement from our sponsor.
