Children have a natural curiosity about the world, and their everyday play and learning allows them to engage in the world as scientists do--by fiddling and experimenting, testing and repeating and processing everything that they experience.

How can ECE professionals help to satisfy children's curiosity about the world in engaging, educational ways? What resources can ECE professionals use to provide children with a firm foundation of understanding in the STEAM areas of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math?

This webinar will explore the variety of options available for integrating STEAM into the ECE classroom, allowing attendees to determine what method is most appropriate for their individual centers. We will also consider a range of ageappropriate STEAM elements that can be integrated into the ECE classroom, both in the form of new activities and as modifications to existing classroom activities. ECE professionals will be introduced to a variety of resources they can utilize to add STEAM elements to their classrooms, including books, blogs and websites, and community partners like the public library.
