Amy Chiu, MSEd, is an early childhood educator, consultant, and speaker with over 18 years of experience across classrooms, leadership, and teacher education. Through her platform The Work of Play, she supports educators, caregivers, and institutions in creating developmentally responsive, relationship-based learning environments. Her work is rooted in child development and the belief that meaningful learning begins with emotional safety, trust, and connection - for both children and the adults who guide them.
Amy regularly writes about and creates resources on topics like co-regulation, scaffolding, and play-based learning which has helped shape reflective practice for thousands of educators and parents. With a background in teaching, program administration, and higher education, she brings a grounded, relational, and compassionate approach to early childhood professional development.
