Jessy Burton

As the Associate Director, Psychosocial Programs Ms. Burton’s role is to identify and develop strategic partnerships and enhance the training and technical assistance offerings of Save the Children’s psychosocial programs. Ms. Burton also serves as the psychosocial expert for expansion and implementation of the Journey of Hope psychosocial programs in the United States. In her five-year tenure with Save the Children Ms. Burton has contributed to Save the Children’s Domestic Emergencies work, leading large scale emergency preparedness initiatives with state agencies and engaging child-focused stakeholders in delivering Save the Children’s psychosocial recovery programs post-disaster in Tuscaloosa, Alabama; New York and New Jersey as response to Hurricane Sandy; and Moore, Oklahoma in response to 2013 tornadoes. Ms. Burton holds a master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, OK.
