Increasingly, it is known that executive function skills are important in school readiness and school success, in graduation rates and workforce success. Studies have even found that young children with executive function skills are more likely to be healthier and wealthier in their 30s, regardless of their IQ or socio-economic status. That has led researchers to wonder: what do parents and teachers do to promote their children’s executive function skills. One of the important answers is Autonomy Support! Join this compelling webinar by renowned experts, Ellen Galinsky and Erin Ramsey to learn:
- What Autonomy Support means
- Why Autonomy Support is important
- How Stephanie Carlson of the University of Minnesota measures Autonomy Support by viewing a video of her work
- How to use Autonomy Support when facing children’s challenging behavior
Administrators, teachers, specialists, and consultants are all welcome. Help us make this session interactive and contribute to ongoing research! Complete the question at the bottom of the registration form that asks for an example of how you managed a episode of challenging behavior.
