Ecological Approaches to Social and Emotional Learning (EASEL) Lab

Thelma Ramirez is a researcher at the Ecological Approaches to Social and Emotional Learning (EASEL) Lab led by Dr. Stephanie Jones and the Developmental Interactions Lab led by Dr. Junlei Li. Her research interests include family engagement in social and emotional learning (SEL), culturally responsive pedagogy, and the intersection of equity and SEL interventions, all in an effort to ensure and foster inclusive and safe learning spaces for students of all backgrounds. Prior to arriving at Harvard, she worked in the field of early childhood as a parent educator, infant family specialist, and home visitor trainer. She received an A.B. in sociology from Princeton University and an Ed.M. in Prevention Science and Practice from HGSE.
