Bio
Kerry Murphy is an early years specialist, author, and lecturer whose work champions neurodiversity-affirming practice, anti-ableism, and inclusive pedagogy. She is the founder of Diverse Pathways for Early Childhood, a project reimagining child development guidance by centring strengths, identities, and diverse ways of being. Her latest book, Neurodiversity-Affirming Practice in Early Childhood: An Empowering Guide to Diverse Development and Play (Routledge, 2025), offers practical tools for educators. Currently completing an Educational Doctorate on self-directed play in neurodivergent children, Kerry also delivers training, keynotes, and resources for educators, local authorities, and families. She is passionate about reframing early childhood education away from compliance and normalisation towards practice that honours autonomy, relationships, and diverse developmental pathways.
