Shannon Lockhart is an Early Childhood Applied Practice Manager for the HighScope Educational Research Foundation where she has worked for the past 30 years. She is responsible for the design and development of HighScope’s curriculum and training materials for infants and toddlers as well as a significant contributor for HighScope’s preschool curriculum and training. She oversees HighScope’s Training of Trainers and coaching development. She has written articles on infants and toddlers, curriculum content, executive function, the daily routine and many more topics for the early childhood community. Her particular areas of expertise include child development and instrument development (observations, program evaluation and child assessment). She presents at numerous conferences both nationally and internationally on early childhood topics. She holds a master’s degree in early childhood education.
