Camille Catlett is a Scientist the University of North Carolina’s Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute. She helps states to organize collaborative professional development efforts that support the full participation of each young child, including those who are culturally, linguistically, and ability diverse. Camille also works with colleges in six states to increase the emphasis on exceptionality and inclusion in preservice coursework, practica, and program practices. Since moving in North Carolina in 1992, she has led strategic planning efforts designed to promote systemic change in over 30 states. Camille is a frequent presenter at state, national and international conferences on effective professional development, diversity, inter-professional collaboration, inclusion, and family-professional partnerships. In her spare time, she creates a weekly Natural Resources listserv and a regular column on high quality/low cost resources in Young Exceptional Children.
