Our commitment: Free, expert-led, and now building toward formal accreditation
For more than sixteen years, Early Childhood Investigations (ECI) has brought the best minds in early childhood education directly to educators, at no cost. That commitment has never changed. What we’re adding is a formal credential to match the quality of learning that’s already here.
We are currently pursuing accreditation through the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), the gold standard for continuing education providers. Once accredited, ECI webinars will carry IACET Continuing Education Units — a recognized credential you can use for professional development records, state registry submissions, and career advancement.
Why IACET: A standard built for serious professional learning
Not all continuing education is created equal. IACET accreditation requires providers to meet the ANSI/IACET 1-2018 Standard for Continuing Education and Training — a nationally recognized benchmark that governs how learning events are designed, delivered, assessed, and evaluated. It’s a rigorous process, and that’s the point.
IACET Accredited Providers are organizations that have demonstrated their commitment to delivering high-quality, outcomes-based continuing education that meets adult learning principles and evidence-based instructional design standards. CEUs issued by IACET Accredited Providers are widely recognized across professions and state registries.
For ECI, pursuing this accreditation is a natural extension of what we’ve always believed: that early childhood educators deserve professional development held to the same rigorous standards as any other field.
What this means for you: The webinars you already attend — with a credential attached
When IACET CEUs become available, eligible ECI webinars will carry a formal credit designation.
You’ll be able to:
Document your participation
Receive an official certificate reflecting your CEUs
Use that record however your state or employer requires
We’re not there yet — accreditation takes time, and we’re doing it right. But we wanted you to know it’s coming, and we wanted to give you an easy way to stay informed as we move forward.
