About this webinar

Research indicates four-year-olds are the most aggressive of all age groups. Estimates show a class of 20 four-year-olds require the teacher to manage up to 640 acts per day, enough to exhaust anyone!  There is hope and there is help! Join this exciting webinar to learn more. Is it possible to eliminate aggressive acts and bullying during the early years? The answer to this question is critical for anyone involved in early childhood education.  In this webinar, we will discuss ways to eliminate aggressive acts during the early years. We will cover the two skills every provider must possess to transform aggressive acts into teaching moments.

In addition to these two essential skills, we will begin the process of building a School Family where children feel willing to solve problems. Problem solving is essential to eliminating the bully-victim dynamic. For children to feel willing to solve problems and learn new skills, they require:

  1. Safety: Not just physical safety, but also the psychological safety that comes from being with trusted adults.

  2. Connection: Not just positive or negative attention, but the grander, more meaningful connection that comes from being adored by a present adult.

This bully-proofing webinar will be packed with ready-to-use skills and ideas, including how to:

  • nurture the 2 skills educators need to transform aggressive acts into teaching moments.

  • begin building a School Family where children solve problems.

  • create safety through the Safekeeper job and ritual.

  • use the language of safety, not the language of fear.

  • explore the difference between attention seeking and needing connection.

  • make authentic connections with every child.

All sessions are 1.5 hours long, and include a brief announcement from our sponsor. 2:oo PM - 3:30 PM Eastern Time.
