Nefertiti Poyner, Ed.D. is an experienced educator, speaker, and consultant with a deep commitment to helping adults thrive in high-demand environments. She is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Mighty Works Education Group, a mission-driven organization dedicated to supporting the well-being, resilience, and professional growth of educators, caregivers, and communities.

Nefertiti’s research centers on adult well-being and resilience—particularly how schools and child-serving organizations can embed social-emotional learning (SEL) into daily curriculum and culture in meaningful, sustainable ways.

She is the co-author of Building Your Bounce: Simple Strategies for a Resilient You (2nd Edition) and Socially Strong, Emotionally Secure, both widely used by educators and program leaders across the country. She is also the author of She Knows What She’s Doing, Volumes 1 and 2—reflective guides for women seeking to live with intention, authenticity, and spiritual grounding.
