Jerry Parr is owner and founder of Willow Tree Early Education Team, a global consulting company dedicated to current issues in early childhood education, as well as a Board member of the World Forum Foundation. He has a long and valued history with Head Start and Early Head Start, including serving as a noted expert in Head Start Performance Standards and Compliance Monitoring. As part of the Designation and Renewal design team Jerry has worked on the design and implementation of CLASS since its inception as a Head Start tool, and has been part of the OHS CLASS Work group that was formed to help shape CLASS implementation policy as part of Designation and Renewal. Mr. Parr advised the Office of Head Start on creating a replicable model for On-Going Monitoring Systems. He has worked with OHS on providing ongoing training for Region 11 grantees understanding compliance, and served as a sounding board to Region 11 program specialists on quality within American Indian / Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities. . Mr. Parr is internationally recognized for his efforts to develop global policy that will encourage the support of increasing the number of males in caregiver and teacher roles in an effort to achieve more equitable gender balance and ensure each child’s right to have both men and women in his/her classroom and life.
