Dr. Jackson has spent her life living across three continents and experienced several educational systems. She earned her (MSc) Masters of Science in International and Comparative Education at the University of Oxford. She went on to earn her MPhil in Education and completed her Her doctoral degree at the Institute of Education in London where she focused on teacher and pupil perspectives.
Dr. Jackson has worked as an educational advisor to the Department for International Development in London, the World Bank and other multilateral institutions on issues related to educational reform, curriculum development and teacher training.
As a researcher and consultant, Dr. Jackson has worked with NGOs, educational foundations and schools around the world to explore teacher and pupil perspectives, global diversity, teacher training and school effectiveness. She serves on the board of educational institutions in Haiti, Kenya and Germany each of which focus on mentorship and teacher training.
Dr. Jackson is currently head of Global Citizenship at the children’s book publisher, Barefoot Books.
