Sara Gilliam is Editor-in-Chief of Exchange, the leading publication for early childhood leaders. She has spent her career working in nonprofit and higher education communications, and has published extensively as a freelance writer. She also serves on the founding board of Carry the Future, an international nonprofit that supports refugee children and their families. Sara has an MFA in creative writing from George Mason University and a master’s in education from Doane University. She lives in Lincoln, Nebraska with her husband, two young sons and three massive rescue dogs.
