Debra Pierce

Debra Pierce, the presenter of  The CDA Credentialing Process & The Role of ECE Directors, is a professor of Early Childhood Education at Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana. Ivy Tech is one of the nation’s largest and fastest growing singly-accredited statewide community college systems with more than 120,000 students enrolled annually. Her professional background has always involved children, including teaching elementary grades and preschool in a NAEYC accredited program, as well as working with young children and families in the Parents as Teachers organization. Debra a registered CDA Council Advisor and also a Council Representative. She has dedicated the past 12 years to the success of those pursuing the CDA Credential, providing help and support through her website , blog, and materials. She is the author of The CDA Prep Guide: The Complete Review Manual for the Child Development Associate Credential. This publication, the only one of its kind, is used across the country by individuals, trainers and training agencies, and as a textbook in colleges and universities.
