Jenna Augustine is a creative, fun, passionate and driven early childhood educator of nine years. Starting her teaching journey at the University of Northern Colorado, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Ethnic and Gender Studies, and a minor in English and Elementary Education. Her well-rounded education stirred a fire in her to go on an adventure, so she headed to New Orleans. Jenna taught in some of New Orleans’ highest need areas and continued to expand her knowledge of early childhood education at the University of New Orleans. New Orleans inspired her to bring the world to life in her classroom. Helping her students grow into life long learners and cultivate a compassion for themselves and their peers.
Eventually Jenna met her husband and a job change brought them to Colorado. Jenna grew up in Colorado, and moving back inspired her to start a new chapter in her career. Living and working downtown Jenna continued to grow and refine her passion for young children and their families. Vowing to further her education and impact on the field, Jenna pursued her education goals, leading her to the BECLP. In 2016 Jenna received her Master’s Degree from University of Colorado Denver and will eventually go on to obtain her Doctorate. Jenna’s dream has always been to create her own program utilizing her love and knowledge of early childhood education, yoga, environmental studies, and creative expression. Currently, Jenna is working as a project coordinator for a gardening and nutrition curriculum called BEEs in the Garden.
