The leadership of an organization sets the vision for the future and the direction for the rest of the team. Program leaders must know how to develop, manage, and collaborate with their board of directors to ensure the leadership is in sync with the needs of the organization as a whole. This empowering webinar, presented by Amanda Lopez, an experienced non-profit leader and consultant will highlight four topics: 1. Governing Board 2. Board Development Cycles 3. Board Member Roles and Responsibilities 4. Self-Assessment/Areas to Focus. We’ll look at what it means to have a governing board and determine where your organization’s board is in the board life cycle. We’ll highlight the roles and responsibilities of your board and how to set clear expectations through bylaws, recruitment, a handbook, job descriptions, etc. We’ll guide participants through a self-assessment to determine areas where the board could improve. After this webinar, participants will be able to assess 3 priority areas for their Board of Directors and how to set tangible goals for the future.
