Mary Elizabeth (“M.E.”) Picher has worked in the eld of early childhood development and education for over a decade. M.E. started in the eld as a Child and Family Clinician, specializing in the areas of early intervention, healthy attachment and children’s mental health. In 2010, M.E. founded and became the Educational Director of Wholeplay Family Services, a company that offers child development classes and private support services to parents with young children. In 2013, M.E. returned back to school to earn her PhD in Developmental Psychology and Education, with a focus on early learning, from the University of Toronto. There, she completed a doctoral thesis project on the impact of digital documentation technology on the home-school connection in Ontario’s Kindergarten Program. Currently, M.E.
works as a psychotherapist and consultant.
