As an early childhood educator Sharon DuShane Young developed an outdoor classroom coordinator position. Her outdoor experiences with preschool children have been documented and presented to the early childhood community as a Texas Registered Master Trainer for nature-based preschools. Sharon focuses on developing outdoor learning centers with natural materials to enrich outdoor environments. As a Texas Master Naturalist, she volunteered in three dozen school habitats, installing and maintaining native plants. With an eye on early childhood quality improvements. Sharon is an assessor with the Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scale (ECERS) and the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.
